Pinch Analysis Online Tool
As part of the SPIRIT project, TLK Energy has developed a Pinch Analysis Online Tool to support the systematic evaluation of heating and cooling demands in industrial processes.
This free, user-friendly tool is designed to assist in identifying opportunities for heat recovery and optimising the integration of industrial heat pumps. Pinch Analysis is a widely recognised method for improving energy efficiency by aligning heating and cooling needs in the most effective way.
Using the tool can help:
- Determine efficient heat recovery strategies, reducing the size and cost of heat pumps.
- Lower operational costs by minimizing temperature lifts and leveraging dual usage for heating and cooling.
Industrial Heat Pump Design Tool
With this online tool online tool, you can precisely tailor heat pumps to existing heat sources and sinks. Compare different refrigerants and circuit concepts and optimise the efficiency of your system.
The Industrial Heat Pump Design Tool guides users through three key steps: first, you can optionally define process streams as heat sources and sinks, which are automatically transferred and displayed graphically; next, you select a refrigerant and choose a circuit type (standard or with an internal heat exchanger); finally, the cycle process is shown in a temperature–enthalpy diagram, where performance can be adjusted to match process flows and optimise efficiency (COP).
